This is a dire businesses with much suffering when put this way, haha the industry is so risky and treacherous. This was lovely and evocative writing, immersive stormy audio presentation that escalates, and ship metaphor. Reminds me of Obra Dinn. Hated the wood sounds.

The feeling is real. Finding a home base to build sustainable projects sounds lovely. It's a harsh and brutal ocean, sailors rely on lighthouse and harbours to survive and find their way to safety. I love indie games, they are a good size for making humanist art. Hope your game dev goes well.

This reminds me of other immersive one, the sauna manifesto. It's mood is the opposite of this.

I'm nearing the end of reading every single manifesto in this jam. I'm very glad I came across yours!

Very insightful manifesto! We absolutely need to see more Supergiants and fewer Rockstars if the medium is to keep moving forward.
It is a whole lot easier to set sail when you know a wreckage doesn't spell death - just a return to your shipyard to try again.

Thank you!! When you phrase it like that, game development certainly sounds like it has an enticing rhythm to it.

I have a strange urge to go and play Hades now..
